I have a whole raft of personal projects ready and waiting for me to get stuck into them, including a brand new version of Spam Stopper.
Along the way, during the early part of 2008 I also want to review phpnuke code for WAI and Section 508 accessibility issues.
It is highly unlikely I will get it 100% - I know my limitations and also those of phpnuke BUT I will certainly be doing what I can to get nuke that bit closer to full compliance.
I will also be sharing my findings and any updated code with the
RavenNuke Team.
I will NOT be working with the forums code until I know for certain that phpnuke is not going to drop phpBB 2.x.x code branch for 3.x |

Indeed!
I know full well that it is impossible for me to make it fully compliant with every single item of specification for Section 508 but I think it is well worth the time and effort to get it as close as I can within th current core code constraints.
I have opened a Mantis issue under 3.x branch for feedback/discussion - mainly because it will mean touching the themes - specifically fisubice which I know is Raven's baby.
In any event, I wanted this to be a personal project for my site but if the community as a whole can benefit from it then that's great!
If third party developers pick up on it whilst developing their own modules etc then that would be even better!!
One of the biggest stumbling blocks is going to be with third party code I'm using myself which I have no control over e.g. ad code etc or custom header/footer code which is included from an external source. |

Sadly, I have not had the chance to make a start on this yet, life keeps getting in the way. |
